Jannik Backes supports the Science Management Department at RIFS since November 2021.

Previously, he completed a bachelor's degree in geosciences at the University of Bremen. After a one-year interim stop in Münster in the field of water sciences, he moved to Potsdam for the Master Geoecology with the end of 2020. The focus of his studies is the relationship of Earth system, climate and water.
