As a researcher, I am interested in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) policies, specifically within the infrastructure sectors of electricity, gas, water, and sewage. My primary research focus is on assessing the impact of STI policies and programs on innovation outputs in both Global South and OECD countries. To measure their impact, I utilize quasi-experimental techniques such as Difference-in-Difference and Synthetic Control, as well as qualitative methods like surveys and interviews.
Currently, I am exploring the potential of Latin American countries in the field of hydrogen-related technologies through an Economic Complexity approach to identify opportunities for development and innovation. Ultimately, my research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the role of STI policies and programs in promoting sustainable development and innovation in infrastructure sectors, paving the way for a more prosperous and sustainable future.
